Sustaged (EPF) intrinsically represents a powerful anabolic-androgenic steroid, which is characterized by a long-term effect (2-3 weeks). Structurally, it is a multicomponent testosterone preparation, exhibiting a synergetic effect due to the composition of 4 unique hormone esters, from propionate to decanoate. For trainees, it is relevant as the basis of strength and mass-gaining courses.
The first similar drugs (mixtures of testosterone esters under the trademarks Omnadren and Sustanon 250) appeared on sale in the markets of Europe and the United States about half a century ago. Like most products of the male sex hormone, they were originally intended solely for medical use. They were developed and positioned as medicines in the treatment of a wide range of diseases, starting with muscular dystrophy and ending with sexual dysfunction in men.
Sustaged (EPF) effect: quickly, and most importantly for a long period, it stimulates muscle gain and increases in strength indicators, besides it increases appetite, increases stamina, accelerates recovery, strengthens the desire to train, and even stimulates libido. The action of the drug is complex: not only anabolic and androgenic but also anti-catabolic.
After the injection, the propionate ester first shows activity (1-2 days before half-life), phenylpropionate ester (2-3 days before half-life) is connected, then isocaproate ether begins (5-7 days before half-life), and decanoate ether is the last to act (7-9 days before half-life). The total duration of activity reaches 14-21 days.
Sustaged (EPF) side effects: excessive fluid retention in muscles, acne, increased aggression, increased irritability, headache, testicular atrophy, baldness, gynecomastia, and some others. The side effect of the drug is not manifested or has a weakly expressed character, provided that contraindications are excluded and recommendations are followed. In other words, the steroid is relatively safe if not overused.
